The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is a space telescope specifically designed to conduct infrared astronomy. Its high-resolution and high-sensitivity instruments allow it to view objects too old, distant, or faint for the Hubble Space Telescope. This enables investigations across many fields of astronomy and cosmology, such as observation of the first stars and the formation of the first galaxies, and detailed atmospheric characterization of potentially habitable exoplanets. The U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) led Webb's design and development and partnered with two main agencies: the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA). The NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Maryland managed telescope development, while the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore on the Homewood Campus of Johns Hopkins University operates Webb. The primary contractor for the project was Northrop Grumman. The telescope is named after James E. Webb, who was the administrator of NASA from 1961 to 1968 during the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo programs.

India Should Shun Dangerous Dalliances and Embrace Security-Enhancing Alliances

In the event of World War III, will India head towards another 1962-war like rout? The dilly-dallying and dalliances as opposed to strong alliances that India is undertaking, suggest so. This need not be so if India follows some simple principles of military strategy. In this blog post, which has excerpts from several sources, I will emphasis why partnerships and strong alliances with like-minded countries is necessary to avoid such a scenario.

If PM Modi decides to bail out Pakistan, then it must be only in the form of essential commodities and medicines for the Pakistani people and NOT money for the Pakistani establishment.

India Must Wait Until Late 2030s to Position Rupee as A Global Reserve Currency

The positioning of a global reserve currency takes decades and centuries. India should not be in a hurry to catapult the Rupee as a reserve currency just yet, as this could put us in an awkward situation with respect to nations who are favourably disposed towards India in the current global geopolitical order.

The debate rages within India for declaring India a Hindu Rashtra. This debate is meaningless. Why? Because since times immemorial, the word Hindu has its roots in 'Himalayas' and 'Indu Sagar' (Indian Ocean) in Sanskrit. 'Hi' from the word Himalayas and 'Indu' from the word Indu Sagar.

India's Foreign Policy: Stuck in Game Theory's Prisoner's Dilemma---With Whom Should We Align?

Clarity in speech and actions follows clarity in thought. Clarity in thought is a by-product of an ordered mind which is possible only if you remove the past biases, cobwebs, and confusion which plague the mind. This is conceivable only if you sort out your thinking by deliberate, conscious effort which requires a lot of exertion and determination.
