+INDIA ACCELERATING+: world economy in 2050

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is a space telescope specifically designed to conduct infrared astronomy. Its high-resolution and high-sensitivity instruments allow it to view objects too old, distant, or faint for the Hubble Space Telescope. This enables investigations across many fields of astronomy and cosmology, such as observation of the first stars and the formation of the first galaxies, and detailed atmospheric characterization of potentially habitable exoplanets. The U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) led Webb's design and development and partnered with two main agencies: the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA). The NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Maryland managed telescope development, while the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore on the Homewood Campus of Johns Hopkins University operates Webb. The primary contractor for the project was Northrop Grumman. The telescope is named after James E. Webb, who was the administrator of NASA from 1961 to 1968 during the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo programs.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

+INDIA ACCELERATING+, a public interest blog, has been initiated to set the direction of the country’s governance from an objective standpoint with a large frame of reference across time and space so as to give the political leadership a guiding path in the rough and tumble of politics where one can lose his bearings and focus very soon.

This blog has been set up to evolve the intellectual systems, management processes and administrative models for effective governance in a purposeful India; trend analysis and forecasting implications with solutions for India from a global economic, political, military, technological and intellectual perspective; fostering effective decision making and embracing an ecosystem of probity in public life; serving and protecting the public interest; tracking the rise of key emerging markets and analysing their interplay with India.

+INDIA ACCELERATING+ is a public interest blog dedicated to applying mental faculties for the good of the country and the betterment of the countrymen and strives towards evolving intellectual systems and governing models for the effective functioning of the state, instilling a compelling vision of a vibrant India in the political class and motivating millions of brilliant Indian minds towards a common purpose so as to transform India into a dynamic economic, military, technological and intellectual power.

MY TWO-PENNY INDIA CONTRIBUTIONS

With a view to improving governance in India, between 1992-2022, I have conducted over 45 public interest writing campaigns directed at over 80 of India's top political leadership, over 700 members of parliament of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha cutting across political lines, to over 50 of India's leading business and industry leaders, over 40 national media owners and publishers, over 30 socio-religious organizations and many of my ideas, suggestions, and strategies have contributed in bringing about a 'Thought Revolution' in India and have been adapted and implemented by both the NDA/UPA Central governments. Since June 2006, I have been maintaining an influential blog +INDIA ACCELERATING+ (aka AGRASAR BHARAT) on governance and strategic affairs that has readership in over 60 countries across the globe like Canada, US, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Poland, Russia, Netherlands, Romania, India, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, El Salvador, Sweden, Belgium etc across five continents and has been recommended to be shared over 366,000 on Google + and many posts have also been shared over 500,000 times on Google +. Research scholars, academicians and think tanks from around the world have cited the blog 368 times in their dissertations, thesis, and research papers in academia.edu. Actions suggested through my writings have contributed in a significant way towards India's general administration and in shaping the nation's defense and foreign policies. The blog has proved to be a ready reckoner for governance initiatives for the Indian administration.

INDIA OUTLOOK: 2020 AD & BEYOND

As long as the party in power abides by its basic promises (my religion is India and my holy book is the Constitution; and party above self and country above party; and sabka saath, sabka vikaas) and has its eyes firmly on the India of the future and works with the Opposition in tandem as an equal stakeholder (and vice versa---NO LIES FROM BOTH THE SIDES please) we can see a bright future for India in 2020 and beyond. Why $5 trillion by 2025 or 2030, we can achieve $10 trillion by 2035-2040. Be true to your words, and the rest will follow !!!

The players, circumstances and the coordinates in this age (kaliyug) are different. There is no Ram or Ravan, no Pandavas or Kauravas. To call each other as Ravana or Kauravas is a great disservice to Tretayug or Dwaparyug. Neither political group should indulge in this sort of name calling. The slate is clean! You can and are free to script your own story. Your thoughts, speech, behaviour and actions will determine how history records you.

India is set to finalise a long-conceived proposal to procure 30 multi-mission armed Predator drones from the U.S. for the three services at an estimated cost of over $3 billion (around ₹22,000 crore), official sources said on Tuesday. The proposal to acquire the MQ-9B long-endurance drones, armed with air-to-ground missiles, is likely to be cleared by the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) in the next few weeks following which it will be placed before the PM-led Cabinet Committee on Security, they said. The remotely piloted drones, manufactured by U.S. defence major General Atomics, are capable of remaining airborne for around 35 hours and can be deployed on a range of missions including surveillance, reconnaissance, intelligence gathering and destroying enemy targets. The medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) Predator-B drone is the first hunter-killer UAV designed for long-endurance and high-altitude surveillance.
