It Does Not Befit A Tall Leader Like Shri Rahul Gandhi To Make Violent Comments Against the RSS

Hon Shri Rahul Gandhi, Vice President, Indian National Congress, who launched a scathing attack at the Modi government yesterday for what he called was "an assault on liberty, rights and democratic space" and promised that his Congress party will be the "biggest force" opposing the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh or RSS.

"Secularism is in our DNA and it will not just defeat RSS but smash them," the Congress vice president said, adding that the sole purpose of the RSS was to establish a "theocratic and an autocratic state". Mr Gandhi said the "RSS hasn't even begun to think what faces them in the coming weeks and months."

What does the term ‘smash’ signify. The Oxford dictionary defines it as to violently break down the target object into smithereens.  Does Hon Shri Rahul Gandhi and his Congress cadres plan to unleash violence on the streets of the country? This is a dangerous game and could be extremely detrimental to the concept of India and democracy.

The Congress is being intolerant by not coming to terms with the fact that an alternate ideological party now commands the largest share of seats in the Indian Lok Sabha. The Congress party cannot tolerate another viewpoint or ideology that is Hindutva or Cultural Nationalism and is all out to eliminate this ideology. This is an extremely dangerous path the Congress is taking and could backfire seriously on it.

I have always maintained that the Gandhis are a decent lot of people but they are surrounded by the wrong set of people and sycophants who continuously mislead and misguide them. This was shown repeatedly when Indira Gandhi was assassinated due to wrong advise on the Sikh Golden Temple issue and when Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated due to the wrong LTTE Sri Lanka IPKF issue. It is advised that Rahul Gandhi seriously examine the intentions of those who are purportedly acting as his advisors. Do they really have the interest of the Gandhi family and Congress party in mind?

The BJP/RSS leadership must take every taunt/attack by the opposition very, very seriously and should counter it vigorously. Repeated attacks by the Congress Party with the BJP lying low is not a good sign and shows that the BJP leadership does not know the way to handle Congress attacks. Remember Ahmed Shah Abdali? He made 100 attempts to invade India but failed repeatedly. But he didn’t give up. And finally he invaded again and succeeded. The Congress is doing the same thing. It will launch a 100 attacks and if the BJP sits quiet and does nothing, the Congress will succeed in unseating the BJP.

The same is happening in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan has with impunity launched more than a 1,000 attacks on the state with its ISI and Army backed – terrorists and has crossed the line of Control with impunity a 1000 times. But India is scared to launch a full fledged counter attack and cross the line of control. Unless India crosses the Line of Control and launches an all out attack on its terrorist training camps, Pakistan’s efforts will bear fruit and it will eventually succeed.
 

This attack by Rahul Gandhi is not new. In May 2015, Hon Shri Rahul Gandhi attacked the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh or RSS, the ideological mentor of the ruling BJP, saying it "murders individuality and that thought process is running the country." Addressing a convention of the National Students Union of India (NSUI), he urged student activists of his Congress party to "stop the government" from imposing the ideology of RSS.
